Als de klok twaalf slaat begint de magie en komt een pop tot leven…
Ze zijn duidelijk geïnspireerd door de dagen van de stomme film met hun expressieve clownerie. Cricle of Two is dan ook een naadloos amalgaam tussen fysiek theater en acrobatie. Ze vertellen een eenvoudig en ontroerend verhaal over een excentrische uitvinder die vecht om zijn laatste creatie te controleren. In een snel tempo en met participatie van het publiek brengen ze hun verhaal zonder enig gesproken woord. Een mengeling van verschillende disciplines: mime, slap-stick comedy, acrobatie,… “Bambolina & Dodo” is een visuele en universele voorstelling voor elke leeftijd en nationaliteit.

Over Circle of Two (UK): Circle of Two brengt circus en fysiek theater en is gevestigd in het Zuidoosten van Engeland. De groep werd opgericht door Celia Mendizabal en Ralph Taylor. Ze volgen de de tradities van populaire theatervormen zoals circus, poppentheater en mime en halen inspiratie uit een breed gamma artistieke genres. Ze presenteren evocatieve en poëtische shows met een unieke en persoonlijke esthetiek. Hun voorstellingen zijn gericht naar families en hebben een universele uitstraling. Celia en Ralph studeerden af in 2001 aan de Central School of Speech and Drama en The Circus Space in London en behaalden een diploma in theaterpraktijk en hedendaags circus. In 2013 behaalde Celia een Masters of Arts in Theatre Studies aan de universiteit van Surrey.
Al meer dan 15 jaar treden ze op in straatheater, circus en cabaret. Ze wonnen de publieksprijs zowel in circus- als theaterfestivals (o.a. op het prestigieuze Internationaal Mime Festival van Périgueux (Frankrijk).. Wereldwijd werd hun show uitgezonden op nationale televisiezenders.
Ze zijn ervaren in het geven van circusworkshops voor mensen van elke leeftijd.

When the clock strikes twelve, magic begins and a doll comes to life… Clearly influenced by the silent film days of expressive clowning, Circle of Two form a seamless amalgam between physical theatre and acrobatic skills. They tell a simple and touching story about an eccentric inventor who struggles to control his latest creation. Winners of the Prize of the Public at the prestigious International Mime Festival of Périgueux, in France, they present this story without using any spoken dialogue. The show is fast paced and includes audience participation. It combines a variety of performing disciplines, such as mime, slap-stick comedy and acrobatics. “Bambolina & Dodo” is a visual and universal show for public of all ages and nationalities

About Circle of Two (UK): Circle of Two is a circus and physical theatre company based in the South East of England, founded by Celia Mendizabal and Ralph Taylor. Following traditions of popular theatre forms such as circus, puppetry and mime, Circle of Two draw inspiration from a wide variety of artistic genres. Thus they present highly evocative and poetic shows with unique and personal aesthetics. Their work is directed at family audiences and has universal appeal. Celia and Ralph graduated in 2001 by the Central School of Speech and Drama and The Circus Space in London with a degree in BA (Hons.)Theatre Practice, Contemporary Circus. Celia received a Masters of Arts in Theatre Studies in 2013 at the University of Surrey, where her research on the phenomenological impact of Puppetry and Masks in the theatrical event was awarded with distinction. Circle of Two have performed in street theatre, circus and cabaret for more than fifteen years. They have won the Prize of the Public both in circus and theatre festivals. Their work has been broadcast by national television stations worldwide. They are also experienced in teaching circus workshops to people of all ages.
