2019 – Tired of balls

’Tired of balls’’, een voorstelling waarin humor en circustechnieken worden verwerkt aan de hand van autobanden. Roger en Marcel zijn 2 garagisten en gefascineerd door banden. Roger is een harde werker en Marcel maakt graag plezier. Marcel is niet de slimste en Roger niet de gemakkelijkste collega. Samen rollen Roger en Marcel er zich steeds wel door, want Marcel heeft het altijd goed voor en Roger weet heel goed
wat hij wil. Door hun grote passie voor autobanden durven ze wel eens
vergeten dat ze aan het werk zijn. Banden vliegen in de lucht, rollen in het rond en worden gemanipuleerd. Roger en Marcel vinden op spectaculaire en creatieve wijze ‘de autoband’ opnieuw uit. Lachende gezichten verzekerd!

Over Compagnie That’s it (Be):
Jente Besters. Na zijn eenwieler obsessie werd hij ook jongleur, Cyr wheel acrobaat en heel vaardig met zowat alle circustechnieken. Met productiegroep ‘Dwheelz’ en ook met ‘Diclum’ trad hij als eenwieleraar en jongleur verschillende jaren op. Na het volgen van de Formation Pédagogique aan Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles is hij circuslesgever in Circusateliers Locorotondo, ’t Sirk en Ell Circo D’ell Fuego.

Mascha de Weirdt: Ze was eerst vooral actief in het geven van hoela hoep workshops. Ze trad reeds op samen met verschillende vuurcompagniën en volgde ook de Formation Pédagogique in Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles. Nu is ze lesgever bij Ecole de Cirque du Brabant Wallon.

Robrecht Hanssen: Jongleren, eenwieleren, bascule springen,… deze all-arounder doet het allemaal. Ook Robrecht volgde de Formation pédagogique. Verder geeft hij ook circusles bij Circus Paljasso en ’t Sirk. Na jarenlange ervaring als circusartiest en -lesgever bij Circus Paljasso was het tijd voor iets
nieuws, Compagnie That’s it!

Wouter Nys: Op zijn 8 jaar startte hij bij circusatelier Balancirk, en na zijn studie kinesitherapie zette hij zijn circuscarrière verder bij Circus Paljasso. Wouter geeft de circusmicrobe door tijdens circusworkshops,stages en vuurshows. Zijn grote passies zijn jongleren en muziek maken.

‘Tired of balls’, a performance with humor and circus techniques and based on car tires. Roger and Marcel are 2 garagists and fascinated by tires. Roger is a hard worker and Marcel likes to have fun. Marcel is not the smartest and Roger is not the easiest colleague. Together Roger and Marcel keep on working, because Marcel cares and Roger knows what he wants. Because of their great passion for car tires, they sometimes dare to forget that they are at work. Tires are flying in the air, rolling around and being manipulated. Roger and Marcel re-invent the car tire in a spectacular and creative way. Smiling faces assured!

About Compagnie That’s it (Be):
Jente Besters: After his unicycle obsession he also became juggler, Cyr wheel acrobat and very skilled with just about all circus techniques. With production group ‘Dwheelz’ and also with ‘Diclum’ he acted as a unicycle and juggler for several years. After attending the Formation Pédagogique at Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles he became a circus teacher at Circusateliers Locorotondo, ’t Sirk and Ell Circo D’ell Fuego.

Robrecht Hanssen: Juggling, unicycling, bascule jumping, … this all-arounder does it all. Robrecht also followed the Formation pédagogique. He also gives circus lessons at Circus Paljasso and ’t Sirk. After years of experience as a circus artist and lecturer at Circus Paljasso, it was time for something new, Compagnie That’s it!

Wouter Nys: At 8 he started at circus workshop Balancirk, and after his physiotherapy studies he continued his circus career at Circus Paljasso.

Wouter passes his circus enthousiasm during circus workshops, internships and fire shows. His big passions are juggling and making music.
