2019 – Hanging By A Thread (street version)

Een show met marionetten, vol eenvoud en poëzie. Het palmt je in, ontroert je en geeft je plezier. De marionetten zijn levend. Je zult er verwonderd van staanhoe zij in staat zijn om emoties over te brengen.
De show is zonder gesproken woord. Elk karakter, elke marionet heeft zijn eigen verhaal, verteld door midel van bewegingen en muziek in interactie met de poppenspelers. Deze voorstelling toont de magie van de marionet en is perfect voor elke leeftijd!

Over Di Filippo Marionette (IT.):
Remo Di Filippo: studeerde af in theatergeschiedenis aan de Universiteit van Bologna. Hij vervolledigde zijn opleiding in disciplines zoals Commedia dell’arte, het neutrale masker, goochelen, pantomime, stem en beweging, … Hij acteerde bij diverse Italiaanse gezelschappen in 2010 en stapte dan in de wereld van het poppenspel met de ontdekking van een klein, fascinerend laboratorium, verdoken in het centrum van Barcelona: “House Workshop Puppets of Pepe Otal”. Hij ontdekte het edele van hout met zijn oneindige mogelijkheden en veelvuldige gedaantes… Vanuit deze creatieve plek kwam de droom en de geboorte van zijn eerste pop: Gino!
Rhoda Di Filippo Lopez: dank zij het musical trio “The Sirens” kwam Rhoda van Australiê naar Italië en ontmoette het magische van marionetten bij “Di Filippo Marionetta”. Afgestudeerd als Bachelor in muziektheater aan de WA Academy of Performing Arts, werkte Rhoda in verschillende
theaterproducties als actrice, zangeres, danseres, … Ze behaalde de prijs voor Beste Actrice voor haar werk in een originele musical “Lorelei” met Deckchair Theatre. Ze werkte voor film en TV (The Great Mint Swindle”, “StreetSmartz” and “Marx & Venus”) en werkte ook met poppen op verschillende manieren (o.a. de shows “The African Magician” (Barking Gecko Theatre Co), en op het New York Fringe Festival 2014 met “The Warrior and The Princess” (Blue Moose Productions).

A marionette puppet show full of simplicity and poetry, it takes you in, moves you and let’s you have fun. The marionettes are alive – you’ll be surprised at how they are able to transfer emotions! The show is without spoken words, and each character has their own story that they tell through movement and music, interacting with the actor-puppeteers showing the magic of the marionette. About Di Flippo Marionette (IT.)
Remo Di Filippo: He graduated in Theatre History from the University of Bologna ( dams ). He completed his training in recent years with studies in disciplines such as Commedia dell’arte, the neutral mask, the larval mask, magic, pantomime, voice and movement on stage. He worked as an
actor with several Italian companies in 2010 and then entered the world of puppetry with the discovery of a small and fascinating laboratory hidden in the center of Barcelona: “House Workshop Puppets of Pepe Otal”. He discovered the nobility of wood and its’ infinite possibilities and its’ many faces… From this creative space, came the dream and birth of Gino, his first puppet.
Rhoda Di Filippo Lopez: Thanks to the musical trio “The Sirens”, Rhoda came to Italy from Australia and met the magic of marionettes with “Di Filippo Marionette”. A graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from the WA Academy of Performing Arts, Rhoda has worked in many theatre productions as actress, singer, dancer and MC. She received the award for Best Actress for her work in an original musical “Lorelei” with Deckchair Theatre, and has also worked on film and TV: “The Great Mint Swindle”, “StreetSmartz” and “Marx & Venus”.
