2019 – Oyun

Wie of wat is het beeldhouwwerk? Is het de jongleur of het gecreëerde artefact? Wat is de betekenis van stabiliteit? Wat is de limiet? Deze vragen leiden tot het zoeken naar de ultieme staat: de perfecte balans, de architectuur van het jongleren, de harmonie tussen alledaagse elementen. In Oyun bouwt de jongleur een structuur perfect in evenwicht, hij creëert zijn eigen ruimte op het podium waarbij de lucht wordt afgebakend en de zwaartekracht wordt getart terwijl hij harmonie nastreeft tussen alle betrokken elementen. Oyun (‘spel’ in het Turks) is een universum van kookpotten. Alles draait rond pannen, lepels, touwen, ballen,…Deze show is het resultaat van jaren onderzoek en experimenteren, waarbij de inspiratie voornamelijk kwam vanuit verschillende kunstdisciplines: beeldhouwen, visuele poëzie, architectuur, fotografie, tekenen, muziek, schilderen, theater, circus, … Oyun is een unieke en vernieuwende show voor elk soort publiek, waarbij humor, ritme, originaliteit en een verfijnde jongleertechniek gecombineerd worden.

Over El Fedito (Sp.): Federico Menini is geboren in Argentinië. Als onvermoeibaar reiziger studeerde hij gedurende verschillende architectuur en kunsten aan universiteiten in diverse landen: Spanje, Chili, Turkije, Mexico en Rusland. Op deze manier verwierf hij kennis in verschillende artistieke disciplines: beeldhouwen, sociaal theater, video, gravure, fotografie, tekenen, kunstrecencent, podiumontwerp, enz. … Allemaal hulpmiddelen voor het circus: de multidisciplinaire kunstvorm bij uitstek. Na vijftien jaar in de wereld van het circus ging zijn grote passie naar conferenties, vergaderingen en circusconventies overal ter wereld, maar evengoed seminaries, workshops en cursussen jongleren, koorddansen, theater, improvisatie, evenwicht, clownerie, acrobatie, komisch goochelen en experimentele dans. In de voorbije jaren werkte hij met verschillende gezelschappen en werkte uitgebreid als circusartiest. Nu brengt hij zijn eigen solo-shows en is jongleur in “Potted”, een voorstelling van het Spaans gezelschap La Trócola Circ.

Who or what is the sculpture? Is it the juggler or the artifact created? What is the meaning of stability? What is the limit? These questions lead to the searching of the ultimate state: the perfect balance, the architecture of juggling, the harmony between everyday elements. In Oyun, the juggler builds up a perfectly balanced structure, he creates his own space in the stage outlining the air and especially defying gravity while pursuing harmony among all the elements involved. Oyun (‘game’ in Turkish) is a universe of cooking pots. Everything revolves around pots, spoons, ropes, balls… This show is the result of years of research and experimentation whose inspiration has come mainly from the different artistic disciplines: sculpture, visual poetry, architecture, photography, drawing, music, painting, theatre, circus, etc. Oyun is a unique and innovative show for all kind of audience, combining humor, rhythm, originality and a refined technique of juggling.

About El Fedito (ESP.): Federico Menini was born in Argentina. Tireless traveler he comes from the world of architecture and arts which he studied for several years at universities in different countries: Spain, Chile, Turkey, Mexico and Russia. In this way he acquired knowledge from different artistic disciplines: sculpture, social theater, video, engraving, photography, drawing, art criticism, scenery design for performing arts, and so on. All of them tools for the circus: the great multidisciplinary art. After fifteen years in the world of circus, his great passion, he has gone to numerous conferences, meetings, and circus conventions around the world as well as seminars, workshops and courses like juggling, tightrope-walking, theater, improvisation, balancing, clowning, acrobatics, comic magic, and experimental dance.. Over the years, he has worked with several companies and has done extensive work as a circus performer. Nowadays he performs his own solo shows, being also the juggler in Potted, a show by the Spanish company La Trócola Circ.
