2026 – Dancing Water Drops
Dancing Water Drops is een interdisciplinaire voorstelling die hedendaagse dans, luchtacrobatiek, dansacrobatiek en originele livemuziek combineert. Het stuk vertelt op poëtische wijze het verhaal van klimaatverandering en de kwetsbare schoonheid van water. Vijf waterdruppels nemen ons mee op een dansende reis door de levenscyclus – van smeltende gletsjers en stromende rivieren tot de uitgestrekte oceaan en hun uiteindelijke verdamping.
Dit werk, ontstaan uit de samenwerking van vijf jonge Zwitserse kunstenaars, verkent op een creatieve en innovatieve manier de beweging en het geluid van water. Of het nu gaat om vliegen door de lucht terwijl je harp speelt of dansen met een fluit – er zijn geen grenzen! Het is een ontroerend stuk over transformatie, verbinding en de voortdurende beweging van het leven. Water is leven – en leven is een voortdurende stroom.
Dancing Water Drops is a cross-disciplinary performance that combines contemporary dance, aerial artistry, dance acrobatics, and original live music. The piece tells, in a poetic way, the story of climate change and the fragile beauty of water. Five water drops take us on a dancing journey through the cycle of life—from melting glaciers and rushing rivers to the vast ocean and their final evaporation.
Born from the collaboration of five young Swiss artists, this work explores the movement and sound of water in a creative and innovative way. Whether flying through the air while playing the harp or dancing with a flute—there are no limits! It is a touching piece about transformation, connection, and the constant motion of life. Water is life—and life is a continuous flow.
