2026 – The world of Crusó
Een gratis en participatieve speelruimte gecreëerd door Toc de Fusta, die twee installaties combineert – l’atelier en Friends of Crusó – die ons onderdompelen in het universum van een avontuurlijke klokkenmaker die, na een schipbreuk, zijn wereld herbouwt met behulp van hout, mechanismen en verbeeldingskracht. Het Atelier is een intieme en eigenaardige werkplaats vol met machines die op afstand worden geactiveerd en mechanismen die een eigen leven lijken te leiden. Uit dezelfde werkplaats komt Crusó’s Friends voort, een verzameling grootschalige automaten en spelletjes die de schipbreukeling maakt om zichzelf gezelschap te houden. De combinatie van deze twee installaties biedt een meeslepende reis door de innerlijke wereld van Crusó: een universum waar spelen de drijvende kracht is, hout de taal is en nieuwsgierigheid de gids wordt. De wereld van Crusó is uiteindelijk een uitnodiging om te ontdekken, te experimenteren en te spelen.
A free and participatory play space created by Toc de Fusta, combining two installations – l’atelier and Friends of Crusó – that immerse us in the universe of an adventurous clockmaker who, after a shipwreck, rebuilds his world using wood, mechanisms and imagination. The Atelier is an intimate and peculiar workshop filled with machines activated from a distance and mechanisms that seem to take on a life of their own. From this same workshop emerges Crusó’s Friends, a collection of large-scale automata and games that the castaway creates to keep himself company. The combination of these two installations offers an immersive journey through Crusó’s inner world: a universe where play is the driving force, wood is the language, and curiosity becomes a guide. The World of Crusó is, ultimately, an invitation to explore, experiment and play.
