Ooit waren ze met duizenden, deze geweldige reuzen… Traag maar zeker wandelden de monsters over de eindeloze vlaktes van de Galapagos… Niemand kon hen deren… tot de mens kwam. Kruip op de rug van onze logge planteneters en ervaar zelf hun adembenemende traagheid…

2019 – Les fabuleux aventures de Marquis De Quevilly

Een kleine zweefmolen met 4 unieke vliegmachines, gebaseerd op de eerste modellen van de pioniers van de luchtvaart. Marquis De Quevilly, een van deze pioniers, geloofde heel sterk dat zijn manier van vliegen zou werken en spendeerde zijn volledige fortuin aan het bouwen van verschillende machines. Spijtig genoeg kwam hij hiermee nooit van de grond. Met deze charmante zweefmolen worden zijn dromen nu toch
werkelijkheid.

Over de Machinerie (Be): De Machienerie is een artistieke compagnie/werkplaats waar we ons focussen op de bouw van eigen
en externe producties/projecten. De wereld waarin wij ons bevinden, is die van staal en hout. Opgericht met het oog om beeldende, poëtische verhalen te kunnen vertellen en waar de link met straattheater, poppentheater en circus nooit ver weg is. Een heerlijk mooie kruisbestuiving. De Machienerie is een broeinest van artistiek geweld. De droom van de oprichters was om een werkplaats te maken waar hun poëtische verbeelding de bovenhand kon krijgen en om deze werkplaats ook open te zetten naar anderen. Veel van de projecten en beeldhouwwerken van De Machienerie hebben een milieuproblematisch statement. Met onze bricolage poétique proberen we aan de hand van verbijsterende creaties ook een boodschap over te brengen. Niet alleen bouwen we constructies, we maken zelf voorstellingen waarmee we nationaal en internationaal rondtrekken..
Carnivale, onze laatste voorstelling is een compleet oeuvre van ons werk dat we hebben aangevuld met tal van nieuwe pareltjes. De Machienerie .. waar dromen uitkomen.

A small whirligig with 4 unique planes, based on the first models of the pioneers of aviation. Marquis De Quevilly, one of these pioneers, believed very strongly that this way of flying would work and spent his entire fortune on building different machines.
