2019 – Pas Capable

Een unieke one-man straattheatershow. Acrobatie, jongleren en improvisatie, vermengd met een zeer speelse geest creëert een interactie en een directe verbondenheid tussen de openbare ruimte en het publiek en leidt telkens tot een uniek resultaat voor elke plaats. Het publiek evolueert van een passieve toeschouwer tot een actieve deelnemer en de publieke ruimte wordt herschapen tot een podium. De show eindigt wanneer hij vanuit een venster of balkon langs een kabel naar beneden glijdt en zijn leven in de handen van 6 vrijwilligers legt… zal hij slagen?

Over El Kote (SP.): Multidisciplinair artiest uit Chili met meer dan 15 jaar ervaring als clown, jongleur, acrobaat, theater improvisator en cultureel manager. Zijn shows waren te zien op straattheaterfestivals in 17 landen (van Amerika tot Azië over Europa). Zijn werk is gekenmerkt door de fusie van verschillende circustechnieken, clownerie en theaterimprovisatie. Elke show is uniek omdat die gecreëerd wordt en groeit in relatie met de plaats en het publiek. De taal van deze artiest is universeel en zijn speciale energie explodeert, besmet, provoceert en onderhoudt kinderen en volwassenen tot de allerlaatste seconde. A unique one-man street theater show. The techniques of acrobatics, juggling and improvisation, mixed with a high playful spirit, create an interaction and a direct connection between the public space and the audience, creating unique results for each place. “The audience goes from being a passive observer to an active audience, and the public space is transformed into a stage” . The show ends with a zip line downhill act, in which the artist will put his life in the hands of 6 volunteers from the audience… Will he be able?

About El Kote (ESP.): Multidisciplinary artist from Chili with 15 years of experience as clown, unicyclist, juggler, acrobat, theatre improviser and cultural manager. His performances have been shown in street theater festivals of 17 countries (from America to Asia passing through Europe). His work is characterized by the fusion of different circus techniques, clownerie and theatre improvisation. Every show is unic because it is created and grows in relation with the place and the audience. The language of this artist is universal and his special energy explodes, infects, provokes and entertains kids and adults till the last clap.
